Mr lunatik's mosquito 2
Yo Bro Dadarno,
I answer anyway, even though you don't ask me! My mosquito world was somewhat enlarged when I read this book several years ago: Mosquito: A Natural History of Our Most Persistent and Deadly Foe by Andrew Spielman Sc.D. and Michael D'Antonio. Now I find out that the females, for they are the only ones who bite, are more ready to go for males, who are overweight and blood type O! Oh, shit! I qualify in every instance. No wonder they go for me, but certainly it is a case of unrequited love. They suck, I swell but nothing "comes" of it! Except of course, irritation and itchiness.
Meantime the woman who I madly came to Vietnam for, is now e-mailing me, from England! I guess now she is feeling weird, homesick, and surrounded by foreigners, she remembers just how nice I was to her and her friends.
I mean, I bought New Zealand ice-cream for them every single day. Go to the supermarket in Hanoi Towers and check out the price...! Remember the line from the song, I think by Ms Mitchell, "Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got till it's gone...." Hahaha
I have just finished the biography of the Italian comedian Mussolini. Quite a remarkable work, obviously he should have been a movie director rather than attempting to be a politician.
I am almost finished a book on the life of courtesans and gourmets in Ancient Greece, and then I dip into Truman Capote.
By the way, Clairette de Die is in Ha Noi, visiting the people who run Dragonfly on Ta Hien. Incidentally Dragonfly is being re-issued as a new bar. Good luck for the gullets!
Salute! Mr. Lunatik
